The leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) is a ground-dwelling lizard native to the rocky dry grassland and desert regions of Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, and Nepal. The leopard gecko has become a popular pet, and due to extensive captive breeding it is sometimes referred to as the first domesticated species of lizard.

HABITAT We recommend a 20 gallon long tank. There should be the following items included in its enclosure. A heat mat with a thermostat on one side for gradient heating. 2-3 hides one being a humidity hide with sphagnum moss or peat soil/coco fiber. Water Dish, calcium dish, food dish, and a couple basking spots for him to climb around.
DIET Roaches, crickets and mealworms is our recommended foods.
TEMPERATURE 75-85F, with a basking spot somewhere around 90-95F.
HUMIDITY 30%-40%, they prefer a somewhat dry environment, but make sure there humidity hide is wet/moist at all times to ensure they have a safe place to shed.
ADULT SIZE They can grow to an excess of 6-12” in length and can weigh on average 60-90g. However some reach weights of over 110g!
LIFESPAN 10-20 Years (Averaging at 15 years)
SOCIAL BEHAVIOR We do not recommend keeping leopard geckos together as they are solitary animals. Although you may see them laying on top of each other or next to each other eventually one will compete for food, space or dominance. If this happens then one could possibly get bite scars, lose a tail or even cause death!
