Live Animal Shipments
Here at the Arachnid Shop we take pride in all of animals, and it is for that reason we have the following guidelines when we ship out any of our little guys to new homes. We only offer "2 Day & Overnight" shipping when it comes to sending our animals to their new homes. We ship via FedEx which is the only courier that accepts live animal shipments. Below you will find our guidelines that we follow when shipping out your order.Shipping Temperatures
Below 38°F: We will not ship have to wait for warmer weather (TOO COLD)
40-65°F: A heat pack will be used (GOT TO KEEP THEM WARM)
66-91°F: Best temperature for shipping and what we recommend (BEST TIME)
92-100°F: Will only ship to a "FedEx Ship Center" facility (NOT a FedEx Office, Pak Mail, Mailboxes Etc. or other satellite/retail location). Your shipment will arrive early in the morning and be kept inside. (NOT RECOMMENDED)
Over 100°F: We will not ship will have to wait for cooler weather. (TOO HOT)
We only ship our animals out on Mondays.
*If holiday falls on a Monday, then your order will be pushed back to following shipping week.
We ship only within the United States at this time via FedEx. *LAG GUARANTEE ON ALL OVERNIGHT ORDERS*
Orders will be shipped in the order they are received. If you need to have them shipped on a specific date other than our shipping schedule, please let us know immediately and we will try our best to accommodate you to make sure it's possible.
We cannot be held responsible for FedEx delays. If a delay does occur, we do not offer LAG on the shipment. We can only control when we ship them out after that it is out of our hands.
Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
Unfortunately, sometimes DOAs happen, it's a tragic thing and this is part of why we only offer overnight shipping to prevent this from happening. However, if it does happen, please follow the steps below so that we can make it right!
Proof of DOA (Dead on Arrival)
- 3 different photos must be taken of the dead animal/s.
- 1 photo of the packing if there is any damage to the box or contents.
- Must contact us within 4 hours of shipment arriving (we are not responsible for you leaving the animal in the shipping box any longer than this).
When we receive the photo with the method described above, we will either send out a replacement if we still have the animal in stock. If the animal is not in stock, we will issue refund. We will first send a replacement before sending a refund. Refunds will not include shipping cost, only the cost of the animal. No replacements or refunds on freebies.

Items that are not eligible for returns will have it listed in the description of item.
If your item does arrive damaged, we require proof which is simply a picture that can be sent to us to verify the damaged goods. Picture must be sent the same day that the item is received. Once the item is verified as damaged, we will send out a replacement item, if the item is not in stock, we will issue a refund.
There is no shipping on any holidays. Your order will be shipped out the next available business day.
